Just inside the north gate – Lucas Oil Gate.
Pre-game concert under the horseshoe.
Huge concourses. With lots of sponsor messaging. But the ads don’t bother me too much – they made them kinda fun to look at and even interactive.
Way back when the Lucas Oil sponsorship was named, I couldn’t really get it to roll off the tongue. But the end result – it really plays to our racing heritage.
I love that the steel is exposed.
For the game I attended, our seats were on the lower level so I didn’t have to deal with this. As packed as the escalators were, the HUGE pedestrian ramps were virtually empty. I think people have to get familiar with the new place and some of these crowd congestion issues will work themselves out. Let’s hope.
Different in every way from the Dome. One of my favorite ways – upon leaving the stadium, with the roof and front window open, you can still hear the excitement. Not like leaving the pressure controlled dome through a wind tunnel.

Last night, they had many, many employees holding signs that said “Ramp” with an arrow pointing down the concourse. No one seemed to understand that, though, so the lines for the escalators were SUPER long. I think people will get the hang of it, but I felt bad for those in line!
