Downtown Indy now has 2 more locales for a caffeine fix! Higher Grounds recently opened a new location at Meridian & Maryland Streets, at the Ball State University Indianapolis Center. Their coffee beans are roasted just a hop, skip and jump north, in Fort Wayne. The local owners, Darin & Lisa also operate a Fishers store, and a MySpace page.

And mmm, they do have good coffee. I took this photo one morning recently when they were asking anyone on the sidewalk to come in with the drink in their hand and let them remake it for you. Apparently they had several takers, and they proudly display other* coffee cups handed over to them! I met Stacy from Squirrel Chatter this morning for coffee, we brought our own mugs [even one with a Starbucks logo!] and our beverages cost a little less! Mine was just $.92 for the house brew this morning! They also offer a different brewed flavored coffee each day.

And I hear the new Jitters Coffee Stop in Circle Centre mall is now open! They’re located on the 3rd floor, about the middle of the mall.

*Now there is definitely no Starbucks hate going on from me. In fact I love Starbucks. But it’s fun to have options!

UPDATE: I took tons of photos of the new stadium last night and will post soon. Oh, I just loved my visit to the new place! But silly me – left my camera in the car this morning and I’m just not walking back to get it!
